India – Paisley Block-Print Prompt

It invites us to celebrate what is unpolished, asymmetrical, and quietly honest.  In sumi-e ink painting, the brushstroke is not corrected — the beauty lies in its spontaneous, unrepeatable nature.

This art journal prompt focuses on drawing domes with geometrical shapes.  My video sample is of the Amalfi Cathedral in Italy and shows how I start with a pencil drawing.  Next, I add pen and ink, and then watercolor.
